Services & Pricing

  • Individual KAT

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) is an innovative approach that uses the psychoactive medicine Ketamine, in combination with various methods of guidance, talk therapy, somatic therapy, and mindfulness, to catalyze healing by honoring each persons inner healing intelligence. Individual KAT sessions allow for personalized healing sessions with either one or two Riverbird staff members.

  • Group KAT

Through our experience as a clinic, we have been fortunate enough to witness the rich and potent healing and transformation that emerges from group KAT. We have found group KAT to be particularly powerful in cases of chronic depression and anxiety, or other life circumstances that have led to a sense of isolation. We are living in a crisis of community and Riverbird is dedicated to creating opportunity for meaningful connection.

Should I choose individual or group?

This decision will be made collaboratively between you and your Riverbird care team throughout screening and initial consultation. We will make recommendations based on a variety of factors, including your social and psychological history and your goals of treatment. There is also the possibility of incorporating both formats into your treatment plan. Inquire below, we are here to help you through this process.

Our KAT Pricing & Philosophy

Unfortunately, KAT is not covered by commercial insurance companies and we are unable to take insurance at this time. We recognize this upfront cost can be significant to some. We believe in accessibility and do our best to make our services as affordable as possible, while also creating a sustainable model for our clinicians. We are able to offer reduced-cost options for individuals with significant financial barriers through our scholarship funds, particularly for those who hold marginalized identities. Please make note of any barriers to accessing treatment in your inquiry.

KAT is, by nature, a time intensive treatment.  Unlike approaches such as ongoing psychotherapy or psychiatric medications, the cost of psychedelic treatment is upfront. This means the value of this short-term experience may mitigate future costs associated with treating your mental health condition.

It is our aim to be transparent regarding the costs of offering this treatment. The cost for one medicine session reflects the depth of this process and the duration of time. A typical course of treatment will range from 3 weeks to 5 months or more.  A treatment plan is tailored individually to each patient's needs.  A typical course of individual KAT treatment costs between $3,100-$5,725, though cost may be greater with a longer course of treatment.

Good Faith Estimate

What is a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE)?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE), which is an estimate for the total cost of non-emergency medical services. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the total bill. The Good Faith Estimate will be provided to you with our initial intake paperwork. For more information, you can visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059. It is not always possible in the field of psychotherapy to give an exact cost of treatment, given the ongoing nature of the work. That being said, we will inform you of the expected cost for the initial phase of treatment, and if additional treatment is recommended, we will provide an updated estimate for you.
