Riverbird Clinic

A Space for Healing, Growth & Community

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy in Portland, ME

The Riverbird Clinic was established in 2019 as an innovative mental-health clinic dedicated to psychedelic-assisted therapy and integration; the first of its kind in Maine. We consist of a multi-disciplinary team of medical and mental-health providers dedicated to holistic healing that goes beyond symptom management. Ketamine-assisted therapy (KAT) supports people in a root-cause approach to healing and provides an alternative to more conventional methods, which we believe are inadequately treating our country’s mental health crises.

We commonly work with those suffering from the symptoms of treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD and other mental health issues, though we generally hold non-pathologizing perspectives that honor the complexities of our shared humanness and deeply believe in each persons innate capacity to heal. We currently offer individual KAT and variety of different group KAT offerings, and we plan to work with other psychedelic medicines as they gain regulatory approval. We are committed to serving our diverse community and making this treatment as accessible as possible to all those in need.

We are housed within the Good Medicine Collective in the West End neighborhood of Portland, Maine

“The restoration of the planet will come out of a profound shift in human consciousness.... If we were all a part of this great unfolding, then one person’s peace is a deeper peace for all…. The implications of this are profound. If it is true that we are one great being, then inside each of us is the chance for a different world.”
